My Own Research
Background
Since i began my academic journey I had an idea, a way to make money from natural areas by recreating the functions which used to exist in nature before unsustainable land management became the norm.
I have been exploring and structuring this idea for over two years now, focusing my projects on investigating everything from the market to restoration methodology and all the science that is available on carbon sequestration in boreal forests.
My bachelor thesis
I planned for my bachelor thesis some six months in advance before changing it several times. I eventually found the right approach and investigated the carbon dynamics in the boreal forest and compared the science with modern forestry methods.
Master by Research in Environmental Science
I’m currently enrolled in my masters program at Midsweden university in Östersund. The research i’m conducting is looking into and measuring carbon sequestration and storage in boreal forests.
Thanks to Östersund municipality that provide a forest for practical experiments i will be planing and executing several experiments related to carbon sequestration and storage the coming two years+.
